Rep. Babajimi Benson has announced that he has facilitated a stadium for Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria.
He made the announcement at the weekend at the commissioning of Erikorodo – Odogunyan Road in Ikorodu North LCDA, while also assuring the constituents of Ikorodu of more projects.
The sporting facility will be the third that the lawmaker has facilitated, two other sports centre at Ita – Elewa in Ikorodu and Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH).
“We have facilitated a stadium for Ikorodu West LCDA.
“We still have over 20 projects from last year that we are still going to commission. For this year, we are still going to embark on several roads in Ikorodu. We are going to reconstruct the Ogunleye Road. The road is not good and we want to use it to honour Baba (Prince Abiodun Ogunleye)
“We are going to contruct the 174 Battalion Road and connect many others. We are also going to construct the Agbede Road.
“Why we are doing all these is because of democracy. You gave President Bola Tinubu the highest votes recorded anywhere in Nigeria, which makes the Ikorodu Federal Constituency number one in Nigeria and the number two is Bichi Federal Constituency in Kano,” he said.
“We have 382 polling units and others have more than that, yet, we delivered more votes,’ noted the three – term law maker.
